Ever since I had access to a camera and Photoshop: I've edited images. I absolutely adore creating conceptual digital artwork: little whimsical worlds; sometimes a little silly; sometimes serious. I enjoy creating self portraits, exploring emotions, and juxtaposing images together.
Fun fact: My first tattoo is a little crop tool on my arm!!
BELOW: My fine art piece was selected for print and display at Bitamine Faktoria's Kontenporaea Photo Exhibit (2018). Irun, Spain.

Title: “Timelines”
Time is often itself a construct. We are told to follow certain timelines set by others: society, tradition, culture, gender, even our own bodies, and more. As we grow, learn, and appreciate being our own individual selves: these timelines tend to become nothing but cumbersome rules which we may feel obliged to follow. Who decides what is ‘okay’? And more importantly, why?
My image represents the constant shifting between such timelines. Often the decisions are made before we even begin to think about it, and as mind boggling as it may seem, we accept these ‘norms’ and continue on a path not set by us, but by what others deem as good. Sometimes, these pre-set plans are the only options we have. Sometimes, they are the easiest choice. Sometimes, breaking these plans comes at a cost we can’t easily forget. We build an illusion of perfection and safety and comfort, wrapped in values that are yes, great in certain ways, but have not been deeply reevaluated to sync with current times or empower our independent selves.
When do we construct our own timelines, and shed ones that no longer appeal to us?
